The third picture is a newspaper clipping from the Des Moines Sunday Register in 1955. The woman serving the chicken is my husband's great-grandmother and the man taking a piece of chicken is his great-great-grandfather. The family farmed the same piece of land in rural Iowa for nearly 150 years. Don't you think this picture is very Norman Rockwell-ish? The other picture is of me ironing all the vintage aprons for sale here at Rick Rack Attack! Just kidding!
